Geothermal Heat Pumps

Geothermal Heat Pumps are heating and air conditioning systems that use the energy stored in the earth's crust to heat and cool a building more efficiently. The energy required to cool a home in the Mid South is approximately 50% of the energy required from a standard system. The energy required to heat a home is 20-25% of the energy required to heat a home using natural gas or propane furnaces.

Geothermal Heat pumps have the ability to be mounted indoors, removing the need to have a condenser placed on the outside of your home. Loop fields can be installed in the ground horizontally, vertically, or even in a nearby pond. They are also quiet and the most energy efficient option available.

Geothermal Systems are typically more expensive, but lower monthly utility bills and Federal Tax credits (at least through 2023) make geothermal systems an option for many of our clients. We install Water Furnace systems in all of our geothermal jobs.

Conventional HVAC Systems

We provide full scale installation of conventional HVAC systems. We also service and repair all makes of air conditioning systems for homes where we installed the original equipment and for other homes as well. Engineered Comfort installs Trane equipment for new construction and replacements. We offer single speed, two speed, and variable speed equipment to meet the efficiency and comfort needs of our clients.

Our desire is to implement the Engineered Comfort, inc. Equipment and Efficiency Maintenance Program for every home we touch. Our Maintenance Program offers clients a way to have their units maintained regularly to save money on utility bills, ensure the manufacturer's warranty, make your systems heat and cool more effectively, and reduce the down time associated with failure. Customers who opt for maintenance contracts receive discounted service rates as well as access to our weekend and after-hours service availability.

Zoned HVAC Systems

One of the best ways to increase the efficiency of an HVAC system is to set up zoning. With a zoned house, a homeowner can select portions of a home that need to be heated and cooled at different levels. In homes where portions of the house are not used as often as others, a zoned system can heat and cool the highly trafficked areas while leaving the less often used spaces at more conservative temperature levels, increasing the efficiency and the life of your HVAC system.

Mini Split Systems

Sometimes, a space just does not allow room for duct work to be run through the floor or the ceiling or places that only need part time environmental regulation. In these types of scenarios, we are equipped to install ductless mini-split systems to meet the environment needs of our customers.
